- Apr. 14, 2022LAAUW Statement on Spring term mask and vaccination requirements
The Librarians’ and Archivists’ Association of the University of Waterloo supports the statement put out by FAUW on March 21 calling for the University to keep vaccine and mask mandates for the Spring term.
We support continuing these measures for the same reasons FAUW listed, namely:

Over the past year and a half, the Librarians’ and Archivists’ Association of the University of Waterloo (LAAUW) has been evaluating affiliation with the Faculty Association of the University of Waterloo (FAUW). A vote was held in late March 2021 and our membership decided against seeking FAUW affiliation. Of our 38 members, 18 voted against, 9 voted in favour, and 9 abstained. Twenty-four votes in favour were required for the vote to pass.

Crucial Conversations teaches nine powerful skill sets to help employees develop vital skills to turn disagreement and conflict into conversation and dialogue.
