Staff Vacations #4 - Alex's trip to Nova Scotia!

We had fabulous weather in Nova Scotia this year – lots of hot sunny days.  My golf game was not good, but that was more than made up for by all the other activity – catching up with family and friends, and meeting cousins that my wife hadn’t seen in 50 years.

In August there is also the Folk Harbour Festival, which has many wonderful artists, and this year we attended the Sunday morning gospel session which meant we got to hear about 20 different artists in the space of two hours.

Staff Vacations #1 - Eva's road trip!

A Road Trip to the Maritimes

The Maritimes, which consists of Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick on the east coast of Canada, is one of the most beautiful regions to visit in the summer. With the celebration of Canada's 150th birthday, my husband and I went on a one-week trip to the east coast. People visit the Maritimes for different reasons. For me, what attracts me the most are the breathtaking landscapes, rich history and irresistible seafood. Below are some of  my highlights of this wonderful journey.

Happy Canada Day, eh!

On July 1st, 1867, the British North America Act divided the Province of Canada into Ontario and Quebec and joined them with New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to form a confederated state called the Dominion of Canada. Since then, a country named Canada came into being. People with different backgrounds have come to this country and worked together to shape it into what it is today.
