Drop-in peer support counselling is available to all students in the Dana Porter and Davis Centre libraries during the spring term exam period. Sessions are free of charge and confidential.
UW MATES (Mentor Assistance Through Education and Support) is a counselling-based, one-to-one peer support program offered by the Federation of Students (FEDs) and Counselling Services. Volunteers have extensive training to help you with:
- stress and anxiety
- academic issues
- social and relationship difficulties
- mental health challenges
- transitional challenges to university life
- challenges in adapting to culture
