You can now sign out most reference materials at many Library locations, including:
- Dana Porter Library
- Davis Centre Library
- St Jerome’s Library
- Witer Learning Resource Centre
The reference collection includes materials such as subject-specific encyclopedias, dictionaries and bibliographies, and has always been for Library-use only. After much consultation, the decision was made to make most reference items available for short-term loan, increasing access to our collections by researchers.
Details:
- reference items will have a 3-day loan period
- only Waterloo students, faculty and staff may borrow reference items
- reference items may be renewed once
- holds may now be placed on reference items
- this change does not include Quick Reference materials, which will still be for Library-use only
