Join the Library's B Mindful Challenge

Friday, December 9, 2016

The Library is pleased to unveil the B Mindful Challenge, initiated by Dr. Mitch Abrams, a radiologist at Cambridge Memorial Hospital and founder of the Dr. Bird Project. The challenge was brought to the University of Waterloo by two of our Library Ambassadors, in partnership with Health Services, to bring our communities together through kindness and promote the importance of mindfulness to the campus community by colouring mandalas.

Mandalas are available at Dana Porter, Davis Centre and Musagetes libraries. We encourage you to take a break by colouring a mandala card and include a positive message inside. These colourful cards and well-wishes will be given to patients at Cambridge Memorial Hospital to help brighten their day.

Take some time to de-stress and unwind, and make the world colourful and kind — one mandala at a time.

President Feridun Hamdullahpur's get-well wish:

Life brings many joys and challenges in front of us — be it the stress of exams or recovery from illness. Our mind and heart are the two most powerful helpers to let us cope with it. Especially, when we are fortunate to benefit from the beauty and power of the others' minds and hearts — knowing somebody else cares.
