Overview
Bibliometric measures are one tool among many used to capture elements of research productivity and research impact. Examples of bibliometric measures include the total number of publications, and the total number of citations of a single researcher, a group of researchers or an institution. At the University of Waterloo, assessment activities commonly incorporating bibliometric measures include annual reporting, university rankings, institutional funding, granting of awards, and more.
