The 2019 Digital Pedagogy Institute (DPI) conference will be held at University of Waterloo on Wednesday, July 31 to Thursday, August 1.

A partnership between Brock University, University of Guelph, Ryerson University, the University of Toronto Scarborough Library, and University of Waterloo, DPI 2019 will focus on the innovative use of digital technologies to enhance and transform undergraduate and graduate teaching and learning. The two-day conference will include keynote addresses, presentations, workshops, and digital tool training.
Keynote speakers include Dr. Constance Crompton, Dr. Ray Siemens, and Dr. Toniesha Taylor, who will discuss intersectional pedagogy in digital humanities.
Call for proposals
Faculty, librarians, students, developers, and others are invited to submit a proposal related to one or more of the following themes:
- digital pedagogy best practices in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), humanities, or social sciences
- digital pedagogy collaborations between faculty, educational developers, librarians, graduate/undergraduate students, or with organizations outside your institution
- the state of digital pedagogy education in higher education
- digital pedagogy case studies, including course and assignment innovations
- innovative new uses for traditional digital pedagogy tools
Sessions can be a:
- poster
- 5 minute lightning talk
- 20 minute presentation
- 60 minute interactive workshop
