Keep up with the Library's website redesign

Welcome to the Library's website redesign news blog. Moving forward, this is your primary source for the latest news on the redesign project – including new site launches, plans for the main site, and opportunities to get involved and provide feedback.

Students using the public workstations at the Dana Porter LibraryThe Library's website received over 10 million website visits last year.

Since the redesign project launched in the fall, the Library has launched six sites:

  • Copyright Guidelines – Migrated and maintained by the Library, this site provides key copyright information for the campus community at Waterloo.
  • Musagetes Architecture Library – The Musagetes Architecture Library branch launched its new site in January.
  • Library Accessibility Services – This site replaces the old Adaptive Technology Centre site.
  • Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act Toolkit – This site provides information on how to turn the Ontario government's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) legislation into everyday practices in the Library or departments.
  • Library Lens – A photo blog site for library staff that aims to capture what a year in the life of library staff members looks like.
  • Web Redesign – The site you’re on right now!

In coming months, we look forward to more site launches, meeting other major milestones, and launching the Library’s new main site before the end of 2014.

We encourage you to explore this site and get involved with web redesign activities as opportunities arise. Feel free to contact the Library WCMS team at any time if you have questions or comments.
