Jagdeep Bachher, a Management Sciences alumnus was recently featured on Bloomberg Businessweek. Since 2014, he has led the University of California's $100 billion pension and endowment fund as its chief investment officer (CIO). He has distinguished himself by cutting management fees and delivering high investment returns for the fund (15% return rate in the last year).
Dr. Bachher earned his PhD in Management Sciences in the year 2000, having previously earned a Master's degree, also in Management Sciences. In his PhD thesis, supervised by Prof. Paul Guild, he identified investment criteria used by venture capitalists for technology-based ventures.
