15 University of Waterloo researchers have been named to the annual Highly Cited Researchers™ list from Clarivate for significant contributions to their specific fields of research. Waterloo has seen an increase in the number of researchers included in this year's list that highlights the world's most influential researchers and scientists.
Waterloo researchers on this year's Highly Cited Researchers™ 2025 list from Clarivate include:
- Dr. Jennifer Clap, Faculty of Environment
- Dr. Michael Fowler, Faculty of Engineering
- Roydon Fraser, Faculty of Engineering
- Sharon Kirkpatrick, Faculty of Health
- Juewen Liu, Faculty of Science
- Linda Nazar, Faculty of Science
- Daniel Scott, Faculty of Environment
- Xuemin (Sherman) Shen, Faculty of Engineering
- Aiping Yu, Faculty of Engineering
- Weihua Zhuang, Faculty of Engineering
The list also includes Waterloo alumni C.Y. Kwok (BASc ’14, PhD ’22),Quan Pang (MSc ’14, PhD ’17) and Dan Luo (PhD ’20), along with adjunct professors Satyam Panchal and Zhongwei Chen.
