A University of Waterloo professor and Canada Excellence Research Chair (CERC) Laureate has been elected as a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
Philippe Van Cappellen was recognized for his outstanding contributions to earth and hydrologic sciences and is among 60 people named by the AGU in the Class of 2021 Fellows. The AGU is a non-profit organization that supports 130,000 scientists and enthusiasts worldwide in earth, atmospheric, ocean, hydrologic, space, and planetary sciences.
