At the University of Waterloo, more than $8 million in new SSHRC funding is helping turn bold ideas into real-world impact.
From a landmark $2.5 million project led by Dr. Amelia Clarke to help hundreds of municipalities accelerate climate action and reach net-zero goals, to innovative research exploring homelessness policy, flood resilience, artificial intelligence, social connection, literacy and global governance, Waterloo researchers are addressing issues that matter locally and globally.
Spanning all six faculties, these projects will generate new knowledge, strengthen communities, inform public policy and create opportunities for students and partners across Canada and beyond.
