Marek Stastna, professor in Applied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo has been awarded $1.65 million in funding for his program titled “Training for Novel Directions in Quantitative Climate Science.”
This funding was part of a larger announcement made by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) today totalling $26 million through its Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) program for 2024. The funding supports training and mentoring programs to improve job readiness for highly qualified students and postdoctoral fellows.
