Waterloo researcher joins Canada’s first Cannabis and Brain Health Consortium

Dr. David Hammond of Waterloo’s School of Public Health Sciences is among 10 research leads selected for Canada’s first Canadian Cannabis and Brain Health Consortium, a new national initiative supported by $24 million in funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. Hammond’s team will examine the long-term effects of cannabis use on brain health through population-based studies.
