What is Pivot?
Pivot is a searchable database website for researchers to search for funding opportunities or other researcher profiles. To do a quick search of either funding or profiles, use the search box in the header of each page within Pivot. Choose your keywords carefully to avoid overload.
Accounts
While on the University of Waterloo network, anyone can search within Pivot. For full access and more options, including the option to use the service outside of Waterloo, an account is required. Anyone with a uWaterloo email can register for a Pivot account.
Researcher profiles
The majority of Waterloo researchers, as well as many researchers from institutions around the world, have a profile on Pivot. These can be searched through the Pivot profiles page. Pivot has a collection of Profile help articles for profile search options.

Funding opportunities
Once you have logged in you can track and/or share any funding opportunity you find. Pivot has a collection of funding opportunities help articles, including more detail about funding search options.
