Perspectives from Eli Lilly and Company:  Corporate Overview, the Role of Statistics and the Analytical Problems we Solve

This presentation offers an introduction to Eli Lilly and Company, the organization with currently the highest market capitalization among pharmaceutical companies.  A corporate overview will be followed by a detailed look at Lilly’s Global Statistical Sciences organization, including a discussion of career opportunities at Lilly.  With this foundation we will then discuss a number of specific problems that statisticians at Lilly have solved, which are representative of the analytical challenges that arise in drug discovery, development and access.  These will include analytics to optimize trial implementation, bias adjustment for POC and Ph2 study results, longitudinal dose-response modeling, use of master protocols to increase drug development efficiency and optimizing flexible testing approaches for multiple endpoints.
