The faculty, staff and student community of the Waterloo Systems Design Engineering Department invite you to join them online to celebrate the many contributions of “Professor Igor”.
His loss in November 2020 rocked our world and on March 31 we will share words, pictures and music as we unveil our enduring tribute artwork in E7 to Igor’s teaching. We will also share our plans for an annual event to honour his inspirational focus on kindness.
Professor Igor was SYDE’s very first full-time Lecturer, appointed in January 2015. It is hard to believe that he was with us for only 6 years. His positive impact will stretch many lifetimes. Professor Ivkovic was a natural fit for our interdisciplinary and design-focused teaching team. He was appointed our Associate Chair for Undergraduate Studies in September 2020. We miss him greatly.
