Dr. T.E. Unny Memorial Award

To celebrate T.E. Unny’s lifelong accomplishments and memory in the development of stochastic and statistical methods in hydrology and environmental engineering, the Dr. T.E. Unny Memorial Award was established in 1993. The SYDE Department provides this award to graduate students in the Faculty of Engineering who are working in the field of stochastic and statistical methods in hydrology and environmental engineering:

  • Must be registered full-time in the field mentioned above
  • Be in good academic standing.

Cornfield Sustainable Energy PhD Fellowship

With the generosity of alumnus David Cornfield, the Department of Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo is pleased to invite applications for the Cornfield Sustainable Energy PhD Fellowship. This fellowship will address multi-scale, interconnected, highly complex, and dynamic socio technical systems. This opportunity is open to exceptional candidates with relevant experience who want to extend their interests to advance research in this field.

  • Be in good academic standing.
