Land Marks Event Two: Symposium

Thursday, September 10, 2020 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm EDT (GMT -04:00)

Join our speakers Mkomose (Dr. Andrew Judge), Lisa Myers and Angela Marsh, as they reflect on plants, culture, and food. This discussion will explore questions of food and food sovereignty as they pertain to culture and community, as well as questions of urban space and plant growth. Each speaker will present for 30 minutes followed by a Q+A panel discussion.

Land Marks is a community-centric art project that challenges us to consider our relationship with the land we live on through the marks we make, and the responses we receive. From fences to footpaths, contaminated to cultivated soil, each mark left tells an intricate environmental, social, and cultural story, describing our relationship not only with the natural world, but the people we share it with.
