Each year, the Faculty of Engineering, with the assistance of the Sanford Fleming Foundation, honours faculty members for their outstanding commitment to excellence in engineering education.
The recipients of the 2018 Faculty of Engineering Teaching Excellence Award are Andrew Levitt, a continuing lecturer with the School of Architecture,Chris Bachmann, a professor of civil and environmental engineering and Marc Hurwitz, a lecturer with the Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business.

All three are recognized for their tremendous ongoing support and encouragement of their students as well as for their unwavering dedication to Waterloo Engineering. They will be officially recognized at the Faculty of Engineering Faculty and Staff Awards Dinner to be held in January 2020.
