The Waterloo Architecture community wishes to congratulate the students who have completed their Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree and Master of Architecture degree. While we can't celebrate in person, graduates were sent a video of congratulatory messages from faculty, participated in a virtual toast, and on October 24th joined the Class of 2020 Virtual Convocation Celebration.

Warm congratulations to all – we are so pleased to welcome your wonderful group to our growing family of alumni!

Architecture schools present first pan-Canada lecture series
Canadian Council of University Schools of Architecture offers livestreamed lectures on theme of diversity

Waterloo, ON – The Canadian Council of University Schools of Architecture (CCUSA) initiated its first pan-Canada lecture series in response to COVID-related restrictions on traveling and large gatherings, inviting students and practitioners across the country to join the conversation.

Congratulations to Waterloo Architecture students Callum Nolan, Ethan Paddock, Patrick Stephen and Colin Willams, and faculty member Terri Meyer Boake for receiving 2nd place in the 2020 ACSA/AISC Steel Design student competition! The submission, From ‘AgriHood’ to AgriHUB, is a response to agricultural initiatives and ongoing urban issues in Detroit, MI. The project proposes a holistic agricultural hub at the core of one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods.

Congratulations to Jasdeep Multani, who won the campus-wide 3MT competition for her presentation Designing Classrooms of the Future: Incorporating Sensory Cognizant Design Strategies. During her work placements, Jasdeep found interest in the design and programming of hospitals, rehabilitation centres and mental health facilities.
