Requirements for transfer consideration into AFM or SFM:
Required courses:

Any Grade 12 English 4U -- A minimum grade of 75 is required.

Advanced Functions 4U -- A minimum grade of 75 is required.

Calculus and Vectors 4U -- A minimum grade of 75 is required.
Recommended high school courses:
- Grade 12 M Principles of Financial Accounting
- Grade 12 U Mathematics of Data Management

For CFM, Biotech/CPA, and Math/CPA, please refer to the admission requirements located on the Waterloo website.
Transfer credits:
- If you receive an offer of admission, we'll assess you for possible transfer credit using the course outlines (syllabi) you provided. The transfer credit you receive will depend on when you took the course, the course content, and the grade you earned in the course.
- You can receive up to 2.0 units (equivalent to four Waterloo courses) towards your Waterloo degree. Please refer to our transfer credit policies for further information.
College transfer students:
- If you're attending a college located outside of Ontario, please review your specific admission requirements based on the study system and country you're from.

University transfer students:
- Applicants who already possess a degree in any field are not eligible for admission to AFM or SFM. You are encouraged to speak directly with CPA – Ontario to discuss your next steps to achieve your designation.
