Your contributions go directly toward the experiential education programs which set SAF apart from other institutions.
Sustainability and Financial Management
The Sustainability and Financial Management program is strategically designed to meet current and growing labor market demands in the fields of sustainable finance and accounting.
Become a finance expert who can link our natural systems and social impacts to financial outcomes. As a Sustainability and Financial Management (SFM) graduate, you’ll incorporate people, profits, and the planet into the bottom line while evolving environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) reporting to lead organizations toward a greener world.
International Study Course
The International Study Course provides opportunities for students to learn about business at a global level. Students will visit international business centres to learn from business professionals and organizations directly involved in international finance and accounting.
Research Centres
Our four excelling research centres, The Centre for Accounting Ethics, Waterloo Centre for Taxation in a Global Economy, UWaterloo Centre for Information Integrity and Information Systems Assurance (UWCISA) and CPA Ontario Centre for Sustainability Reporting and Performance Management, provide critical knowledge for academics, policymakers and professionals.
Scholarships (Undergraduate, Graduate and PhD)
Scholarships and awards recognize SAF student achievements, reward talented students for their accomplishments, and provide financial support to help with educational expenses.
A greater array of awards and scholarships will mean students can focus completely on their studies, by relieving some of their financial stress. This will enable them to get the most out of their educational experience at Waterloo.

Support experiential and innovative educational experiences through the Student Investment Funds which provide students an opportunity to invest in different segments of the financial sector, and create talent that fuels the local and national economy.
Student Venture Fund
The primary goal of the Student Venture Fund (SVF) is to provide students with hands-on training in venture capital investing with guidance from industry experts and supervision by finance faculty.
The SVF will allow students to evaluate founding management, complete market research, value companies, conduct thorough due diligence, recommend and make investment recommendations, work with other angel and institutional investors, and manage a portfolio of investments in early stage companies.
Alumni Excellence Endowment Fund
The Alumni Excellence Endowment Fund ensures that the School can respond effectively to rapid change and undertake new initiatives. The Fund enables the School to focus on educating the next generation of fully-equipped global leaders, innovators and visionaries in accounting and finance.
The fund supports student initiatives, such as, the Accounting and Finance Orientation Week (AFOW), Equity Research Challenge, Inter-Collegiate Business Competition, RISE Forum, UWaterloo Accounting Conference, LIVE Conference, Battle on Bay Competition, TD Bank Financial Case Competition and many more.
