Guirado’s goldenrod
Solidago guiradonis A. Gray is a rare species found only in asbestos-laden soils near streams in the vicinity of San Carlos and San Benito peaks, San Benito and Fresno counties, California. It is similar to the closely related S. confinis but has much narrower leaves and smaller cypselae (Semple & Cook 2006 FNA). Its range of distribution is shown on the map with S. confinis. The species is diploid 2n=18.
