Ohio Goldenrod
Solidago ohioensis Riddell is native wet depression in sand dunes, marshes, rivers banks of the Great Lakes area of eastern North America with a scattered populations further south and east. The species is distinguished by its flat-topped inflorescence, flat 1-nerved leaves, 4-6 mm high involucres, and multi-veined phyllaries (Semple & Cook 2006 FNA). The species is diploid (2n=18).
Smaller plants with few heads might be confused with S. houghtonii, which has larger involucres.
