Solidago ptarmicoides × S. rigida (Solidago ×lutescens(Lindl. ex DC.) Boivin) is an F1 hybrid between diploid parents. It has pale yellow ray florets and is sparsely pubescent. These can occur in areas where the two parental species S. ptarmicoides and S. rigidasubsp. humilis grow together. Solidago ptarmicoides hybridizes with S. rigida, S. ohioensis, S. riddellii, and perhaps other goldenrods. It is not known to hybridize with any species of aster (regardless of genus).
