Schreber’s Aster

Oreostemma alpigenum (Torr. & A. Gray) Greene is native to mid to high elevations in the Cascades, Sierra Nevada and limited areas in the Rocky Mts. and Great Basin mountains (Nesom 2006 FNA).  The scapose habit species includes diploids (2n=18) and tetraploids (2n=36).
