Heterotheca camporum

Heterotheca camporum (Greene) Shinners is the eastern most member of sect. Phyllotheca.  The typical variety is similar to H. villosa.  Semple (1983) presented data that indicated var. glandulissimum Semple is likely very recently evolved with a very rapid range expansion in the last 100 years.  The species is tetraploid (2n=36).  See Semple (2006 FNA).
