Wright's Guadalupe Mountain Goldenrod
Solidago wrightii var. guadalupensis Nesom was described in 2008 post Flora North America. It occurs in the Guadalupe Mts. of Trans-Pecos Texas and New Mexico and in the White Mts. of New Mexico.
Var. guadulupensis has much less hairy to glabrous fruits and narrower leaves than typical var. wrightii. The glabrous fruit trait is typical of S. orientalis, not S. wrightii. (See New Mexico Rare Plants)
