  • The Fundamentals of University Language Teaching is tailored to language instruction and is open to all currently enrolled Waterloo Masters students in languages and Pedagogische Austauschdienst (PADs).  

  • The Fundamentals Block session offers students  the Fundamentals of University Teaching program in two weeks.  

  • Accredited in 2016 by the Educational Developers Caucus (EDC), the Fundamentals program supports Waterloo graduate students in their development as university Teaching Assistants (TAs) and instructors.

  • PD1: Career Fundamentals gives students the tools they need to find their first job, develop core career skills, and succeed in the workplace. 

  • Do you need help transitioning into university life? Peer mentorship programs can connect you with upper-year mentors who act as a non-judgmental, approachable and knowledgeable first resource and support system. 

  • Sometimes you need practical advice on how to succeed in university. A Peer Success Coaching appointment is an interactive and collaborative learning process between you and a Peer Success Coach. Our coaches are available to help you with various aspects of student success, including study skills, time management, or test preparation and anxiety.

  • The Student Leadership Program (SLP) is a broad-based, experiential series of workshops available to current University of Waterloo students (undergraduate and graduate). Students will explore and enhance their leadership skills and learn to use their abilities to benefit them in roles on campus and within the broader community.
