In co-operation with the German Pedagogical Exchange Office (PAD), the Canadian Association of University Teachers of German is accepting applications for positions as English-language assistants in the Federal Republic of Germany. Information and application forms are available from the GSS Undergraduate Studies co-ordinator Katja Czarnecki. Please note there are new requirements for 2021 including the ability to work online.

During these strange and trying times of social isolation, the Waterloo Centre for German Studies will continue to support research into all aspects of the German-speaking world. Further, we remain committed to supporting German-related cultural programming for the university and our wider communities. In response to concerns about the coronavirus, the University of Waterloo is cancelling all non-essential events, and the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is cancelling all bookings of its facilities. The Grimm Lecture was scheduled to be held in the CIGI Auditorium on Thursday, 19 March 2020, and must now be cancelled.
