Vahid Barahimi is a chemical engineer and researcher specializing in DAC (Direct Air Capture) technology. He has an MSc degree in chemical engineering with a focus on water treatment. As a research assistant in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Waterloo, he is part of a team working to develop direct air capture technologies that can effectively remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Fernanda Breña Ramos is a MES student in Sustainability Management at the University of Waterloo. Her research interests include net zero goals, climate policy, low-carbon transitions and open energy models.
Willaim Gillam is a PhD Candidate at the Balsillie School of International Affairs. For his dissertation William is researching the nexus of biospheric governance, the development of outer space, and their futures.
Hannah Rebekah Thigpen is a PhD student in Geography and Environmental Management at the University of Waterloo. Her research explores climate change mitigation and governance, carbon dioxide removal technologies, and scenario analysis methodologies that can inform decision-making under deep uncertainty.
