The book "An Introduction to Quantum and Vassiliev Knot Variants", written by C&O
James worked on integer linear programming under the guidance of C&O Professor Laurent Poirrier from May to August, 2018.
Their paper "A compressed classical description of quantum states" presents a method for quickly computing a compressed representation of a quantum state using the square root of the usual amount of classical memory.
Professors Ricardo Fukasawa's and Jochen Koenemann's work on optimizing craniosynostosis operations with surgeons at SickKids Hospital in Toronto was featured in the University of Waterloo's Global Impact site.
This award recognizes the impact of Stefan's paper, Maximum determinant positive definite Toeplitz completions, with a prize of $4,000.
