Awards

students pitching venture at competition

The Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business is grateful for the generous support of our donors which allows us to offer support to our students as they pursue their entrepreneurial ventures at the undergraduate level!

The award funds will be divided equally among the winning team members.  Prize money will be deposited into the Quest account.

E-Launch Awards

The E-Launch Awards are awarded to the winners of a pitch competition among students in the Enterprise Co-op (E Co-op) program. Up to five scholarships of $5,000 are awarded each term.

Norman Esch Enterprise Co-op Awards

The Norman Esch Enterprise Co-op Awards are awarded to engineering students in the E Co-op program. Nine awards, valued at up to $10,000 each, will be presented annually to full-time undergraduate students who are pursuing an enterprise co-op opportunity and are enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering.
Selection will be based on academic achievement and demonstrated entrepreneurial outlook with a high degree of performance over the work term period of 4 months. Preference will be given to students who will not be receiving any other funding in support of entrepreneurial work experience and who are actively working on a technology/engineering-based venture.
This fund is made possible by a donation from The Esch Foundation, to expand opportunities for students to establish their own business as an alternative to a traditional co-op work term experience.

Norman Esch Entrepreneurship Award

The Norman Esch Entrepreneurship Award provides a minimum of six awards, ranging in value from $5,000-$10,000 each, for student teams enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering's Fourth-Year Capstone Design Project.

Overbeeke Family Entrepreneurship Excellence Award

The Overbeeke Family Entrepreneurship Excellence Award is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in any year in the Faculty of Engineering who is pursuing an Enterprise Co-op opportunity.  Selection will be based on the development of an outstanding presentation, business model and plan review, clarity of business description, and preparedness to lead a venture or social enterprise as demonstrated through the beginning of term pitch competition. One scholarship of up to $5,000 will be awarded each term between Spring 2022 and through to Fall 2024.
