How to apply
After you have reviewed and prepared your application documents, you are ready for our easy two-step application process.
Step 1: Prepare your documents
Before proceeding to step 2 of the application process, it is important to ensure that you have all of your required application documents prepared and ready-to-go. You will need your:
- Digital copies of your transcript and degree certificate documents for all formal, post-secondary education you have received
- Reference information - name, title/position and official email address
- English Language Proficiency (ELP) testing scores (if required)
- Drafted 500-word Letter of Intent
- Permanent Residency (PR) card or record of landing (if required)
Step 2: Apply on Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC)
In this step, you will declare the required application information - degree(s) and overall averages, recent work history, and reference information. You do not add documents in this step.
Next, pay the $125.00 CAD, non-refundable application fee and submit. After submitting your application, in one-to-two business days, you will receive an email with your Waterloo ID and Quest access information, then go to Step 3.
Step 3: Access Quest and upload supporting documents
In this step, you will upload your documents to prove everything that you declared in the second step. Don't forget your résumé, 500-word Letter of Intent or Supplemental Information Form and ELP test scores.
Please note that you will need digital copies of your transcript and degree documents which refer to as 'unofficial documents'. Please ensure to include both the front and back of the transcripts and include your degree certificate(s).
Step 4: Video interview
Only qualified applicants who meet or exceed all the admissions requirements will be invited to participate in a video interview.
Video interview questions are designed to better understand applicants abilities, attitudes and aspirations as they relate to the following domains:
- Career fit
- Opportunity identification
- Entrepreneurial action
Video interview is the last stage of the application process and is reviewed by the MBET program director who makes all final admission decisions.
