Winter 2021 academic schedule changes

Update for students

  • Winter term classes will begin January 11. All other winter term activities will begin as scheduled on January 4.
  • Classes will be cancelled on March 15 and 16 to create a four-day weekend from March 13 to 16.

  • Classes will be cancelled on March 15 and 16 to create a four-day weekend for students March 13 to 16.
  • All employees will receive two days off to be used between January and April.

New COVID-19 hotline

Update for students

You can now call the University’s new COVID hotline, 1-833-UW-COV19 (1-833-892-6819), for support if you test positive for COVID-19, experience symptoms or think you may need to quarantine or get tested.

New COVID-19 hotline and updated process for disclosures

Update for employees

  • Students who test positive for COVID-19 can call the University’s new COVID hotline, 1-833-UW-COV19 (1-833-892-6819) for information and support.
  • If a student discloses to you that they have tested positive for COVID-19, you can now direct them to this phone number. You no longer need to directly inform the University medical director or associate provost, students.
  • Employees can call the COVID hotline, but the first point of contact should still be Occupational Health for reporting employee cases of COVID-19.

  • COVID-19 testing is now available on campus to family members living in the same household as University students, employees and postdocs.
  • Remember to get your flu shots.
