Gradually resuming teaching, research and operations on campus

  • The Region of Waterloo will move into the Red – Control zone of the province’s COVID-19 framework on Tuesday
  • Limited in-person course activity will resume on February 22

  • We have invited graduating students to take part in a survey about their virtual celebration preferences

Case tracking: one community member tests positive

On Thursday, February 4, 2021, Region of Waterloo public health informed us of one individual who tested positive for COVID-19 and had visited our campus. 

They are in self-isolation and public health have contacted identified close contacts.

If you have not been identified as a close contact of the individual, you should continue to follow our on-campus safety procedures including our campus check in screening daily, and self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and seek testing if needed.

Limited in-person instruction may resume February 22

Update for students

  • In-person learning that was previously suspended for the stay-at-home order will resume on Monday, February 22, pending confirmation of the government’s instructions. 
  • We strongly advise you to avoid any travel over reading week.
