Award description:
The Peggy and Tom Mulligan Scholarship will be awarded alternate years to a full-time University of Waterloo graduate student in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering or the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science who holds an Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) or a Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science & Technology (QEII-GSST). The first scholarship will be awarded to a graduate student in Civil Engineering and therefore in the second year to a graduate student in Computer Science. The recipient is chosen by the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies, Faculty of Engineering or Mathematics depending on the year. There is one award valued at $15,000 ($5,000 from the endowment and $10,000 from government matching funds). The scholarship is open to Canadian residents. The scholarship will be awarded from the endowment fund starting in 2008.
