Award description:
A scholarship valued at $1,500 will be awarded annually to a graduate student registered full-time in a research-based Master’s or PhD program in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Selection will be based on research interest in the area of transportation and/or mobility with the goal of creating a benefit to society. Interested students should submit an application in February to the Associate Dean, Graduate Studies Office in the Faculty of Engineering. This fund is made possible by a donation from Tim Collings.

Eligibility & selection criteria:
- Full-time graduate student registered in a research-based Master’s or PhD program in the Faculty of Engineering.
- Selection to be based on research interest in the area of transportation and/or mobility with the goal of creating a benefit to society.
- Award application is required which can be found on the Faculty of Engineering’s website.
- The Faculty of Engineering will select recipients each Spring.
- Award can be held with any other major awards.
- Award is in addition to guaranteed minimum funding.
- Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 80% cumulative average or equivalent in their current program) combined with application material.
