SCI 250: Environmental Geology

This course provides an overview of geological processes influencing water, soil, mineral and energy resource availability; the environmental impacts associated with utilization of these resources; near surface processes influencing humans including erosion, floods, and land slides; the Earth's climate-past, present and future; and deep geological processes controlling catastrophic events such as earthquakes and volcanoes. This course is intended for non-science students or science students with little to no background in Earth Science.
