Earth & Environmental Sciences entrance scholarship

Several scholarships, valued at up to $2,500, are awarded annually to outstanding students entering first year in the Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences in the Faculty of Science.

Conestoga-Rovers & Associates Entrance Scholarship

Description	Value	Criteria
A scholarship, valued at up to $5,000, is awarded annually to an undergraduate student entering first year Earth and Environmental Sciences in the Faculty of Science. These scholarships are made possible by a generous donation from three founders of Conestoga-Rovers & Associates: Don Haycock, Frank Rovers, and Ron Schwark. A scholarship, valued at up to $5,000, is awarded annually to an undergraduate student entering first year Earth and Environmental Sciences in the Faculty of Science. Gwilym Roberts Memorial Scholarship

Description	Value	Criteria
One or more scholarships, valued at up to $2,000 each over two years, are awarded annually to undergraduate students entering first year of an Honours Earth Sciences program within the Faculty of Science. The scholarship recipient(s) will have indicated an interest in selecting Geology Specialization as a major. The second portion of the award, payable in 2A, is dependent on the student maintaining an 80% overall average in Year One and continued interest in the Geology Specialization. These scholarships pay tribute to the remarkable professor and first economic geologist in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Gwilym Roberts, who paved the foundation for many geologists in their careers. The University offers Entrance Scholarships and Bursaries and information on these can be found at the following two links. In addition, both the Science Faculty and the Earth Science Department may supplement or offer separate entrance scholarships on their own. The amount of these additional scholarship monies depends on the resources available to the Faculty and Department in any particular year.
