FAUW is seeking nominations for six director seats:

• Four at-large directors, for a 2-year term
• One director representing teaching stream faculty, for a 2-year term
• One director representing Mathematics, for a 1-year term (to bring this role back in line with other faculty rep seats)

All terms begin July 1, 2025.

If you would like to run for a director seat, please complete the FAUW elections forms and submit to FAUW by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 17, 2025.

The Hagey Lectures Committee is seeking nominations from FAUW members for the next speaker.

The next Hagey Lecture will take place in Fall 2025, and we are primarily seeking suggestions for speakers in the fields of Health and/or Mathematics. If you know of a great speaker whose area of expertise is aligned with another faculty, but is otherwise timely or relevant, we welcome those suggestions as well.

All University of Waterloo faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in a survey about childcare access and impacts in Waterloo Region. 

FAUW's Childcare Working Group will use the results to advocate for resources and work towards long-term solutions for accessible, affordable childcare options for UW caregivers. 

This election is for the next FAUW president, serving a term from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027, and serving as president- elect from December 5, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

The Faculty and Staff Associations are excited to announce that departments can order both the Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride Flag sticker and a new Two-Spirit Pride Flag sticker through the W Print online ordering system. Stickers are available in batches of 20, 60, or 100.

Salary negotiations are now concluded, with the settlement outlined below. We will be hosting a Town Hall in May to discuss further details and next steps. The purpose of this communication is to give a quick overview of the settlement, some context of how it was reached, and important considerations for determining next steps for FAUW in the wake of this round of negotiations.
