Tuition and incidental fee charges

University of Waterloo charges tuition one term at time, with three terms occurring over the course of a year:

Fall Term – September to December
Winter Term – January to April
Spring Term – May to August

Fees are due prior to the start of term. Student fee bills are posted on Quest approximately one month prior to the start of lectures each term. When the fee bills are posted, students are notified at their uwaterloo.ca e-mail address.

In addition to tuition fees, incidental fees are charged each term.  These fees help cover the costs of resources available to students. Incidental fees are compulsory, optional, or voluntary and are subject to change. For more information, visit the Incidental fees web page.
