YES! 2015: Year end show opening

The Department of Fine Arts and the University of Waterloo Art Gallery (UWAG) present YES! 2015, the 41st Annual Undergraduate Exhibition. The show features recent artworks by fourth year honours students completing the Fine Arts undergraduate program at the University of Waterloo. Representing a broad spectrum of materials, themes,media and concepts the exhibition reflects the diversity of the program and its students.

Final chance to see the Tri-City Stopgap Pop-up Art Exhibition

Tri-City Stopgap exhibitionOver 60 artists from in and around the region are participating in a temporary exhibition in a large warehouse and office space at 151 Weber St. South in Waterloo.  The Tri-City Stopgap Pop-up Art Exhibition is organized by Fine Arts alumni Mike Ambedian, Sheila McMath, and Nadine Badran.

The exhibition can be seen October 31 4:30-8:30 p.m. or at the closing reception, Saturday November 1st starting at 7:00 p.m.

Printmaker’s Compendium website launch

Over the last 3 years, the University of Waterloo’s printmaking area has implemented a series of methodologies that promote greener, safer and more economical studio habits for the print shop.   We are now excited to launch our compendium, a series of online tutorials and resources with lots of printmaking tips and tricks, created a through the generous support of UW’s LITE Seed Grant program.
