We recognize that many graduate students are parents, guardians, and/or caregivers. There are resources on and off campus to support you.

Immigration Waterloo Region

Immigration Waterloo Region provides a variety of supports on immigrating to Waterloo Region including immigration consulting, English conversation circles, housing support, and more.

Whole Family Lab

Provides a variety of resources and supports for those with families and children.

Breast Milk Storage

If you are expressing breastmilk, there are storage options available. You can arrange this by contacting the Equity Office at equity@uwaterloo.ca.

Caregiver Supports in Waterloo and Wellington

A list of resources available for people who are acting as caregivers in a variety of circumstances (e.g., Alzheimer Society).

Waterloo Wellness Resource Database

The Waterloo Wellness Resource Database provides a large span of resources on and off campus (e.g., House of Friendship, hospitals).

International Spouses Group

Since 2005, the International Spouses group has served as a community for those wishing to meet other people, learn about Canada, go on outings and make connections.

 

United College Graduate Housing

The Graduate Apartments Building at United College was designed to promote community, and hosts several common spaces, including a rooftop patio lounge. Apartments are available to graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and visiting professors at the University of Waterloo, particularly those with families or dependents.

Off Campus Housing

Off Campus Housing provides supports and resources for students looking for housing options in Waterloo Region.

Family Housing-Columbia Lake Village North

CLV-N is designed for single graduate students, student couples and students with families. Family housing provides many benefits including: being surrounded by other student families, supports for spouses such as conversation circles, and recreational programming at the Community Centre.
