Doctoral students “dive into the dissertation” at the Lake Shift

"I will finish writing this dissertation come hell or high waters," says one boot camper to another as they clear the plates after lunch at the Lake Shift. Not only was the expression befitting as participants were near a body of water, but it was also a testament to the determination among doctoral students at the Lake Shift Dissertation Writing Bootcamp.

IT campus systems to enable 2FA – July 24

A notice for grad students who have "opted-in" to two-factor authentication for any of the campus enterprise systems noted below:

What is happening? Opt-in, two-factor authentication (2FA) is being enabled for campus enterprise systems. Users who have opted-in to 2FA protection for their Connect OWA or Office 365 account will now receive a 2FA prompt when they log in to Quest, Workday, LEARN, Unit4, or Concur.

When is this happening? After 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24.

What do users need to do? No action is required.

Students, upload your résumé and you could win $50!

Students, we need your help! The Centre for Career Action (CCA) has partnered with an on online résumé critiquing software program to increase access to résumé support for our campus community.

We need your résumé to teach the software what Waterloo résumés look like for specific programs so that it can deliver relevant, tailored feedback based on student needs and industry standards.
