The University of Waterloo has recently announced additional financial incentives totalling $1.5 million to encourage the continued development of Canadian graduate student research. The funds are available for both domestic Master’s and PhD students.

The Faculty of Applied Health Sciences is offering 30 scholarships for exceptional domestic PhD and research Master's students.
The Faculty of Arts is offering guaranteed minimum funding for eligible domestic PhD students and additional funding to exceptional domestic students entering a research master's program.
The Faculty of Engineering is offering 100 scholarships and fellowships for eligible domestic students entering PhD and research Master's programs.
The Faculty of Environment is offering guaranteed minimum funding for eligible domestic PhD students, and financial packages for eligible domestic research Master’s students.
The Faculty of Mathematics is offering additional funding for eligible domestic PhD and research Master's students.
The Faculty of Science is offering guaranteed minimum funding for eligible domestic PhD students and up to 30 awards for exceptional domestic PhD and Master’s students.

Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
