Jonathan Baugh, Frank Wilhelm and Raymond Laflamme of the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) researcher David Cory will host a two-day workshop on Coherent Spintronics on January 10-11, 2008 at IQC.
It will bring together experimentalists and theorists who are working towards physical realization of practical quantum devices, fostering collaborative work on topics such as coherent spin systems, quantum dots and super-conducting quantum devices.
Discussions will be informal and are presently planned to focus on projects involving researchers at the Institute for Microstructural Science (NRC-Ottawa), MIT and IQC.
Postdoctoral fellows and student researchers at all levels are welcome to attend.
