The Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) Security Proof Workshop is an annual workshop on technical security proofs, with a focus on facilitating interactions and discussion between participants.
The 8th edition of the workshop will be held in-person at the Institute for Quantum Computing in Waterloo, Canada from October 26 - 30, 2026.
This workshop is structured as a series of discussions. Participants can contribute by starting the discussion on a chosen topic with a short talk on any of the focus topics. This is then followed by an interactive discussion. To this end, we strongly encourage whiteboard talks.
Interested individuals are requested to contact Aodhán Corrigan and Jerome Wiesemann, or apply below.
This year, the focus topics are
- Device Imperfections (detectors, sources, etc.)
- Certification of QKD
- Open Problems in QKD
- Any other miscellaneous problems in QKD security proof (CV-QKD, numerical security proofs, etc.)
The workshop has limited capacity.
