The Transformative Quantum Technologies (TQT) program at the University of Waterloo aims to advance the use of quantum mechanics from laboratory curiosity to an impactful device. TQT builds upon the world-renowned strengths of the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) and brings together quantum researchers across campus and beyond to accelerate quantum research excellence.
Today, there are quantum devices that work outside of the lab and are ready for adoption in broad areas of society. TQT will develop new quantum devices and work with early adopters to explore potential applications.
